Get Your Glow On With These Two Awesome Self-Tanners
Even though it is winter in most of the US, it’s springtime in Florida (there is a blanket of pollen across literally everything outside), and it’s time to start thinking about how to make our pasty winter legs look less pale.
One of the 50 million things I love about this blog is how I can share something with you that I really love, so I’m going to tell you again about my favorite self-tanner Loreal Sublime Bronze, and I totally understand that the amount of shit you may give about this topic may vary, but hear me out.
This stuff is good…no…it’s exceptional. It has a pleasant smell, isn’t sticky, doesn’t come off in your bedsheets, and has a natural color. Have you ever slathered on a self-tanner, and instead of naturally glowing, perfect, even color, you end up looking like a dirty cheese puff? I promise that won’t happen with Loreal Sublime Bronze because it actually comes in a human shade.
Even better, you don’t have to pumice stone your entire body for it to go on evenly, which means zero orange swirly blotches on the back of your thighs.
Once you apply it, it dries quickly, so you don’t have to do that thing where you walk around your bathroom looking like you just got off a horse after riding 200 miles.
(AKA your thighs can’t touch until your self-tanner is dry.)
Pro tip: Be sure to remember to apply it to the tops of your feet, but don’t slather it on your face unless you want everyone to tell you you look like you have dirt on your face. Loreal Sublime Bronze works great on bodies but not so great on faces.
If you’d like to tan your face, I highly recommend St. Tropez Self-Tan Purity, which is a bronzing water face mist. Four or five pumps on your clean face before bed, and you’ll wake up with a natural-looking tan on your face and neck.
I love that St. Tropez bronzing water face mist has a light, pleasant scent and doesn’t clog your pores.
A little goes a long way, the color is very natural and you can purchase it on Amazon for about $30.
If there is any con to St. Tropez, it is that it doesn’t have long-lasting staying power. You won’t sweat it off, but it isn’t a tanner that lasts for days. You’ll see it come off on your washcloth when you wash your face, which isn’t horrible. Just spritz before bed, and BOOM! Instant tan by morning.
I hope you enjoyed today’s tanning talk. They're both available on Amazon if you’re interested in either product. Sublime Bronze can also be found at any drugstore, Target, Walmart, or any place selling self-tanner.
Happy Friday! See you on Monday when we chat about whatever happened to annoy me over the weekend. Har har har.
