There's that stage when you're a child and love celebrating birthdays because you get Presents! Cake! Attention!

Then there's the stage where you think you're old, but you really aren't, and you inwardly cringe during birthday celebrations because you secretly want to stay 35 forever,

And then enough time passes and you live and learn and reach a point in life where you're wise enough to appreciate every minute of every day, have gratitude for all the goodness around you, and celebrate all month, partying like a rockstar! 

That is what we did last night with a friend who turned 77 and was hot stuff in a pair of brown leather pants.
