Are You Ready To Vote?
Are you ready to vote, or have you already voted? If you voted early, you are fifteen shades of awesome! Bring it in for a high five! I don’t get why anyone wouldn’t vote. No, really, why would you choose not to vote in this election or any presidential election?
Even if you hate both candidates—I know hate is a strong word, but there are so many strong feelings in this election that I’m going to go ahead and use it—surely there is a candidate you hate slightly less than the other.
I’m guessing that most of us now know who we are voting for. If you’re still undecided, ask yourself: Which candidate would best protect the citizens of the United States in case of…say…an alien invasion or a zombie apocalypse? Who would remain calm and form a plan of action, and who would succumb to the siren song of zombie brain-eating or alien probing? For me, the answer is obvious. And yes, I probably could have come up with better criteria for choosing the next POTUS, but it’s early; my caffeine intake is still low, and I promise I put more thought into my vote than considering a World War Z situation.
Zombies and aliens aside, don’t sit back and not vote this year of all years. Sometimes elections are decided by just a handful of votes, and you never know; yours could be the one that pushes your candidate to a win.
So set aside some time to vote and proudly wear your “I Voted” sticker. On a side note, am I the only one who thinks we should get a hotdog instead of a sticker? This IS America, you know.
