It’s Players Championship Week Here in Ponte Vedra

It’s The Players Championship week here in Ponte Vedra which means thousands of tourists have descended upon our little town and will be eating at our restaurants and shopping in our shops and dropping a lot of  $$$ stimulating our local economy and that’s awesome…until you have to drive anywhere and must remember to allow yourself an extra hour for what is typically a ten minute drive and boy is that grand, especially when your one functioning brain cell forgets that detail and you are stuck in traffic for a really loooooonnnngggg time trying to get to the post office, which was almost impossible to enter with the 500 billion orange cones lined up on the road and men in official looking uniforms angrily directing your car into THAT ORANGE CONE LANE NOT THAT ONE and then one yelling at you and acting like an asshole because he half-ass pointed to the lane you were supposed to be in and you misunderstood and all you can think about is how freaking hungry you are and how you just want to stop at Publix about a mile down the road (AKA 40 minutes away) so you can get a container of spicy popcorn chicken from the deli to eat for lunch except they sold out of spicy popcorn chicken early because the 5048585837395409 golf lovers who are visiting this week are hungry and wanted to eat spicy popcorn chicken for lunch too and when you FINALLY make it home you hibernate in your house, shove a frozen pizza in the oven and enjoy the solitude.

Le sigh.
